2015 Opening Day Fisherman’s Breakfast

The Brothers of Granite Masonic Lodge of Haddam were proud to host its first annual Opening Day of Fishing Season Breakfast at the Old Town Hall in Haddam, April 11.  Arriving at 3:00 AM, the Brothers prepared eggs, bacon, toast, fried potatoes, coffee and juice, all ready for the opening at 4:00 AM and served until 8:00 AM.

The food was great and all who attended had a great time. The breakfast was provided free to the local fishing public with the brothers donating the food and supplies. Since we did not get as big a turnout as anticipated, the unused eggs, bacon and bread were donated to the Shoreline Soup Kitchen.
We wish to thank Melissa Schlag and everyone at the Haddam Town Hall, Shaquaisha Andrews from Chatham Public Health, Deborah Wade at Fast Signs and last but not least Richard Hemenway from

The Brothers are looking forward to opening day 2016.
