{Fairy God Mother}

A new twist on the classic fairy tale! It is one hundred years since Princess Briar Rose fell into a deep sleep, cursed by the wicked Brunnhilde. The animals in the castle’s forest have been in stasis all that time, not growing older or changing. They are making plans for the happy times ahead, but Brunnhilde and her nasty crew have plans to make the spell permanent! Can a stranger to the forest, a handsome prince and the timid Fairy Godmothers conspire to save the day? Book, music and lyrics by Cheryl Kemeny. Directed and choreographed by Stacey Curti.  Performed by a talented cast of elementary and middle school students.

Founded in 1987 by Cheryl and Alexandrea Kemeny, Mariner Pezza and David Jackins, Crystal Theatre began as a workshop for 50 students.  We have since grown to a theatre school which serves 250 students per semester with 17 productions per year, 4 different summer camps, a public access TV show, an opera company and now – our own publishing company.  Our mission is to train students in the techniques of theatre through the presentation of original musicals.  Since our inception, we have premiered more than 25 new musicals and operas.
