"I'm excited to come back to Newtown and perform with these wonderful young musicians," said Mr. Chapin.  Chapin performed at the High School last year to an audience of 650, and is returning this year due to popular demand. "Now that everybody knows that last year's concert was a smash hit, we are anticipating selling every seat in the house well in advance of the event, so get your tickets while you can!" said Rabbi Shaul Praver of Congregation Adath Israel.  The Little House That Roared is Praver's brain child and Praver's good fortune was meeting up with a highly talented and dedicated committee who share the bond of music. Several of the committee members are involved in music professionally.

"We started The Little House That Roared series three year ago as a showcase for highly talented young musicians," said Praver.  "I guess we strummed the right chord because now we're putting these kids on the same stage with Tom Chapin."  "We believe wholesome, inter-generational, live family entertainment is a really good thing for Newtown and the county," said Curtis Urbina of Quark Records and TLHTR committee member.

In addition to Chapin's solid guitar picking, clever song lyrics and authoritative vocal performance, Mr. Chapin is known for using his music to advance important causes.   For example, Mr. Chapin "testified" before the
New York State Senate by singing his song, You Can't Spell Smart without Art.  Mr. Chapin was advocating to reinstate funding for the Arts in New York State.  Chapin's current CD, "Give Peas a Chance," advocates for locally grown food and improved nutritional provisions in schools throughout the country.
