FREE nautically-themed family festival celebrating children’s literature and the environment. Meet nationally-renowned children’s authors & illustrators. Enjoy live entertainment, hands-on activities, sea critter touch tanks & visit a variety of boats on New London’s Waterfront Park. Browse the Market at Fish Tales.

Fish Tales, Tugs and Sails happily welcomes the Amtrak 40th Anniversary Exhibit Train and Chuggington Depot to this year's festival! The exhibition train will be at Union Station to commemorate 40 years of Amtrak train travel. The exhibit runs from 10 am – 4 pm on July 23 and 24, and fits perfectly with the Fish, Tales, Tugs and Sails festival. Two locomotives with historic paint schemes and four baggage cars renovated for exhibit space will be on display that weekend. Children can also enjoy Chuggington Depot, a children's activity area. The exhibit is free and a great addition to the annual family festival.
For more information please visit amtrak40th.com.

As part of the celebration of the Amtrak 40th Anniversary Exhibit the Mohegan Pequot Model Railroad Club will be operating a 12' X 28' model railroad exhibit on Saturday, July 23 and Sunday, July 24 from 9am to 5pm in the lobby of Union Station.

The event is handicapped accessible. There are a few restrictions, as the boats are not. However, everything else is accessible, as it is all flat and porto-potties are accessible as well.
