The delicious adventures experienced by Charlie Bucket on his visit to Willy Wonkaís mysterious chocolate factory light up the stage in this captivating adaptation of Roald Dahlís fantastical tale. Featuring the enchanting songs from the 1971 film starring Gene Wilder and new songs by Leslie Bricusse (Jekyll & Hyde, Doctor Dolittle) and Anthony Newley, Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka KIDS is a scrumdidilyumptious musical guaranteed to delight everyone's sweet tooth.

Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka KIDS  follows enigmatic candy manufacturer Willy Wonka as he stages a contest by hiding five golden tickets in five of his scrumptious candy bars. Whoever comes up with these tickets will win a free tour of the Wonka factory, as well as a lifetime supply of candy. Four of the five winning children are insufferable brats: the fifth is a likeable young lad named Charlie Bucket who takes the tour in the company of his equally amiable grandfather. The children must learn to follow Mr. Wonka's rules in the factory--or suffer the consequences.

Thoroughly Modern Millie JR., based on the zany new musical that has taken Broadway by storm, is the high-spirited musical romp that has all of New York dancing the Charleston!
In New York City in 1922, young Millie Dillmount has just moved to the big city in search of a new life for herself. Itís a New York full of intrigue and jazz Ė in a time when women were entering the workforce and the rules of love and social behavior were changing forever. Filled with fun flappers, dashing leading men and a dragon-lady of a villainess audiences will love to hate,  Thoroughly Modern Millie JR. is a perfectly-constructed evening of madcap merriment. Based on the popular movie, the stage version of includes a full score of new songs and bright dance numbers. With the role of Millie Dillmount, musical theatre has found a new heroine for the ages in  Thoroughly Modern Millie JR.!

**January 10th will run from 9:00 am - 12:00 noon - This will be the only class that is set-up for this special 3 hour class.  All other classes will run from 10:30 AM - 12:00 noon.

Shakespearean Sonnet Class
Taught by Eleanor Georges - for 6th-12th graders

This class will be offered on Thursdays from 4:00 - 5:00 PM

$60.00 per student (there are no scholarships available for this class)

Come find out the explosive power of language in 14 lines of Shakespearean verse.  Each student chooses one of the 154 Shakespearean sonnets.  We'll apply proven methods to memorizing, understanding and speaking the verse, and you'll remember your sonnet for the rest of your life, and gain insight into unlocking and speaking all of Shakespeare's language.

The C.A.S.T. Theater is fully handicapped accessible. Handicapped children are encouraged to participate in all auditions and classes. Parents should contact the C.A.S.T. Theater for specific questions.
CAST is a theater organization helping to preserve the arts in the greater Manchester area and beyond.  CAST started as a small childrens' theater group run out of the home of its Co-Founder, Donna Mercier.  In the beginning, CAST operated primarily during the summer, mounting musical productions out of Manchester High School's Bailey Auditorium.   However, since inception, CAST has grown ten fold.
CAST, Inc. now operates out of its own facility on Summit Street in Manchester, CT.   CAST has grown from a childrens' theater group doing summer musicals to a full scale theatre group offering year-round  productions and classes for children.  There is also a splinter group known as CAST After Dark offering theater productions for teens and adults. CAST is a nonprofit organization run by volunteers and all funds raised are used to maintain our program.
C.A.S.T. is located at 113 Summit Street, Manchester, CT.
From Hartford area:
Interstate 84 East to Interstate 384.  Exit 3 off of I-384 (Main Street).  Right off the exit and move over one lane to the left to continue straight.  Go straight up Main Street (through several traffic lights). 
At main Intersection (Main Street & East Center Street), Library will be on left.  Turn Right onto East Center Street.  At first traffic light turn left onto Summit Street.  After stop sign, go down hill and around bend.  CAST will be up on the right.  Brick building with blue doors.
